Massachusetts Evictions On Hold Due to Coronavirus Concerns

Effective immediately, and in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the Massachusetts Housing Court has postponed all non-emergency court events, including but not limited to, summary process cases, small claims matters, civil matters, ticket appeals, supplementary process proceedings, probable cause hearings, and criminal matters, to a date no earlier than April 21, 2020.

Unless a party files a motion (electronically is requested) and establishes “good cause,” all Massachusetts eviction matters are on hold for more than one month.
