Lydia G. Chesnick Inducted into 2024 Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame

Bernkopf, a prominent Boston-based law firm, is proud to announce that Partner and firm Executive Committee Member, Lydia G. Chesnick, has been selected for induction into the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

The ultra-selective criteria for the 2024 inductees placed Ms. Chesnick among only 35 attorneys in Massachusetts to achieve the coveted honor this year. Nominated lawyers were evaluated on their longevity of practice, career accomplishments, and contributions to the development of the law, bar, and quality of justice in Massachusetts.

Ms. Chesnick represents major commercial real estate companies and investors. Clients and colleagues alike recognize Ms. Chesnick as a leader in her field, garnering their loyalty and respect over the decades for her legal strategy and excellence as a trusted advisor in all aspects of their businesses.

Longtime Litigation Partner, Jason Manekas, noted, “Lydia’s clients rely on her judgment and long track record of consistent success when taking on the most complicated deals and artfully navigating a myriad and often unique set of business objectives and challenges, which is why they steadfastly return.” Jason went on to say, “Lydia is the attorney other attorneys and industry leaders and innovators call when they require higher skills, judgment, and expertise. She is about getting the job done with honesty, civility, and the highest standards of professional responsibility and excellence.”

Not only is Ms. Chesnick AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell, but she is also ranked among the best of the best by Boston Magazine, Connect Media, Banker & Tradesman, The Best Lawyers in America®, Super Lawyers, and American Lawyer Media (ALM). Moreover, she consistently dedicates herself to supporting, mentoring, and teaching the next generation of lawyers.

Outside of the law, Ms. Chesnick is equally impressive. She is one of nine members of the Real Estate and Timber Advisory Committee of the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management (PRIM) of which Deborah Goldberg, the Massachusetts State Treasurer, serves as Chair. She has served on 2Life Communities committees and is a founding member of the USA 500 Giving Circle. In addition, Ms. Chesnick is a long-time member of The Boston Club, and has been an active supporter and provider of pro-bono services to the extraordinary Price Center, which empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in their communities.

On achieving this career milestone, Ms. Chesnick commented, “I am honored to be a Hall of Fame inductee this year and am particularly humbled to be among such an elite group of lawyers selected.” She continued, “I am more motivated now than ever to continue to serve my clients and to do even more when it comes to giving back to the Massachusetts and Greater Boston communities in which I live, work, appreciate, and cherish.”

Ms. Chesnick will be officially honored at a luncheon reception on September 17, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Venezia Restaurant Boston.
