OVERVIEW

Richard Michaud is a trial attorney who practices civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts including the district, superior, and appellate courts as well as civil litigation in the Land Court. His practice includes general business litigation, real property and title claims, brokerage disputes, employment law and zoning matters including special permits and variances. Richard has significant experience in criminal law as a former Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office prosecuting white collar crimes and homicides, and as a criminal defense lawyer with a Massachusetts firm before joining Bernkopf Goodman in 1981. Richard has tried numerous jury cases, has substantial appellate court experience, and is a frequent participant in the complex resolution of cases through mediation. Richard has recently obtained favorable jury verdicts in business litigation cases involving a land dispute in Barnstable County Superior Court and a partnership dispute in Suffolk County.
