OVERVIEW

An experienced, well-rounded commercial lawyer and business leader, David Blumberg is an attorney in Bernkopf’s Commercial Real Estate Practice Group. Prior to joining Bernkopf, David served as a senior business manager and in-house counsel for a major, fullservice commercial real estate development and management firm with 11 million square feet of commercial property in Greater Boston. During his sixteen-year tenure, David handled and oversaw the legal staff for leasing, operational and transactional matters. He has deep expertise with commercial leasing for all asset classes and myriad property management questions.

David provides practical advice to real estate firms and tenants alike, because he has first-hand experience with the business risks they face. His diverse background, which include practice in the corporate departments of sizable, sophisticated law firms, enables him to advise clients on a range of topics, from zoning and permitting to mergers and acquisitions to litigation strategies to eviction/collection practices. His approachable demeanor makes David equally comfortable relating to business owners, managers, sales staff and in-house counsel. Clients of all sizes benefit from David’s constructive guidance and wise counsel in general corporate and real estate matters.

A long-time Medford resident, David serves on the city’s Community Development Board. He is a former law clerk at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and a U.S Army veteran.
