The American Institute of Architect’s Seventh Decennial Construction Documents Revisions and Their Potential Impact on the Construction Industry
For 130 years, the American Institute of Architects (“AIA”) has published contract forms covering virtually all types and phases of building construction and design. The AIA forms are the most widely used standard forms within the construction industry.
Beginning in 1958, the AIA began issuing comprehensive revisions to its contract documents approximately every 10 years. Very recently, the AIA issued its latest decennial revisions covering 13 different contract forms and it introduced an entirely new stand-alone exhibit containing insurance and bond provisions.
Bernkopf Goodman LLP and Licata Risk Advisors are proud to present a program on these new AIA contract document revisions, insights and negotiating tips regarding these revisions, and related issues confronting construction users, design professionals and contractors.
