Allen Hankins and Bob Stetson to Present at 2026 REBA Spring Conference
Bernkopf partners Allen Hankins and Bob Stetson will be speaking at the 2026 Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts (REBA) Spring Conference on May 11.
Allen will co-lead “Title Insurance Endorsements for Commercial Transactions,” which will examine commonly requested endorsements in commercial real estate transactions. The session will connect common title risks to the endorsements that address them, with key takeaways for spotting needs early and avoiding delays.
Additionally, Bob will co-lead “Breaking Ground Without Breaking the Law: Navigating Key Issues in Residential Construction Disputes,” a session focused on the common challenges and legal pitfalls that arise in Massachusetts’ residential construction industry. The session will offer common-sense guidance to avoid these issues. It will cover disputes arising from builder-vendor sales, common ground-up construction disputes, and issues under the Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor Act, G.L. c. 142A, § 1 et seq. It will also address drafting statutorily compliant construction agreements, perfecting or defending mechanics’ liens, HIC contractor registration requirements, and the applicability of the implied warranty of habitability to new construction projects.
